‘Going Dutch’ Canceled After Two Seasons on Fox
Fox is discharging its comedy Going Dutch.
The network has canceled the series, which stars Denis Leary as a U.S. Army colonel assigned to the least strategic base in the world, after two seasons. The show’s final episode aired on April 23.
With the cancellation of Going Dutch, Fox currently has just one live-action, half-hour comedy on its slate for 2026-27. The network renewed Animal Control, starring Joel McHale, for a fifth season back in February.
Going Dutch follows Leary’s Col. Patrick Quinn after he is reassigned to lead an extremely low-priority base in the Netherlands, home to a Michelin-starred commissary and the only fromagerie in the U.S. Army. The base’s previous interim commander also happens to be Quinn’s estranged daughter, Maggie (Taylor Misiak). Danny Pudi, Laci Mosely and Hal Cumpston also star, with Joe Morton, Catherine Tate and Kristen Johnston in recurring roles.

The show was something of a surprise renewal last season after putting up modest ratings. That continued to be the case in 2025-26; Going Dutch averaged under 2 million viewers with a week of linear viewing (not including streaming).
Joel Church-Cooper created the Fox Entertainment Studios series and was co-showrunner with Hilary Winston on season two. They executive produce with Denis Leary and Jack Leary.
Fox will announce its lineup for next season at its annual upfront presentation on May 11.
