Fubo Posts 5.9 Million Combined Subscribers in Second Quarter After Closing Disney’s Hulu Merger
Fubo reached 5.9 million subscribers during its second quarter, down from a year-ago 6.2 million customers, the sports-first streaming service reported on Tuesday.
That latest level came against 6.2 million customers reached in its most recent first quarter results. The overall subscriber base now represents customers for its live TV streaming services, including Fubo and Hulu + Live TV, after closing a merger deal with Disney.
Fubo said it had 5.7 million North American subscribers after the latest quarter, compared to 5.9 million in the second quarter of 2025. With the reveal of its latest financial results partly on a pro forma basis after closing Disney’s Hulu merger, Fubo saw overall revenues rise to a record $1.57 billion, against a year-earlier $1.12 billion.
During the latest quarter, Fubo shrunk its net loss to $6.2 million, compared to a year-earlier $41 million, while the adjusted EBITDA came to $37.7 million, compared to a year-earlier $1.4 million on a pro forma basis.
Following the completion of the Disney transaction, Fubo said it has pacted with ESPN on a reseller and marketing arrangement to expand the reach of its streaming platform, subject to concluding definitive agreements.
On Wednesday, Fubo said it expects its Fubo Sports product to be folded into the ESPN funnel in the first half of 2027. “We believe these initiatives position our product in front of a large and highly engaged audience of sports fans, and we expect they will drive sustained subscriber, revenue and margin growth alongside other synergistic initiatives currently underway,” the company said in its shareholder letter that accompanied its latest financial results.
