Who should you pick

Both cards are pretty similarly priced, although Shaw requires you to submit an 88-rated squad. If you need a right-sided defender, Kayode should be your choice. If it's the left side, you should go with Shaw.

If you're still unsure, my preferred pick is Luke Shaw. For starters, Manchester United are 3 points away from securing a place in next season's UEFA Champions League. They're currently in better form than Brentford, and they will try to get all three points. If United wins the game, Shaw will get a +2 upgrade.

Secondly, Shaw's item has a better set of playstyles. He has Bruiser+, which is the best choice for an LB/RB. He also has Quick Step+, which is yet another solid choice for wingbacks. He also offers a couple of useful passing playstyles, Anticipate, Intercept, and Jockey. It's a really good card that can only get better with upgrades in the future.

At worst, we already have 90-rated evolutions in Ultimate Team. Since Shaw can also play as a CB, we should be able to put him in an evolution soon if United loses the game against Brentford.
