EU could open all Ukraine negotiation clusters in July – Commissioner Kos
This expectation was expressed by EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos ahead of a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Today I will urge all the member states to, as soon as possible, formally open all the clusters,” Kos said.
She added that the first cluster, Fundamentals, could be opened during Cyprus’s presidency of the Council of the EU – meaning by the end of June – while the remaining clusters could, in her words, be opened in July.
Kos explained that much of the preparatory work had already been completed even before the formal opening of the clusters, “and now everything is ready to be formally opened.”
