Enemy attacks on 33 settlements in Sumy region kill one person and injure more than 20 over past 24 hours
This was reported on Telegram by the Sumy Regional Military Administration, according to Ukrinform.
“As a result of enemy strikes in the Sumy region over the past 24 hours, there has been one fatality and several injuries. Damage and destruction to private homes, vehicles, and civilian infrastructure have also been reported,” the post states.
Russian troops shelled the region more than 60 times, with 33 settlements in 20 communities coming under fire. The heaviest shelling was recorded in the Sumy, Shostka, and Okhtyrka districts. The enemy used artillery, FPV drones, UAVs, and guided aerial bombs.
According to the Regional Military Administration, one person was killed and 18 were injured in the Sumy community as a result of an attack by Russian drones, including a 16-year-old girl.
In the Lypovodolynska community, a 12-year-old girl, a 37-year-old woman, and men aged 31 and 35 were injured as a result of a strike by an enemy UAV. In the Buryn community, a 59-year-old man was injured.
In the Novoslobodsk community, a 50-year-old woman was injured after stepping on an enemy landmine.

Medical assistance was provided to an 8-year-old boy who was injured on May 21 as a result of enemy shelling in the Sumy community.
Civilian infrastructure and private homes were damaged and destroyed.
As reported, on Saturday, May 23, on the outskirts of Sumy, a Russian drone struck a funeral procession, injuring nine people, two of whom are in serious condition.
