Dua Lipa and Callum Turner rumoured to be preparing ‘Wedding of the Year’ in Palermo

Italian newspapers claim the ‘Levitating’ singer and actor, who is tipped to be next James Bond, are planning their wedding in Sicilian capital.

Celebrated pop star Dua Lipa and British actor Callum Turner have reportedly chosen the Sicilian capital Palermo for their wedding, and Italian press is going gaga over what has been dubbed the “Wedding of the Year”.

The ‘Levitating’ singer, 30, and one of the frontrunners for James Bond, 36, announced their engagement last year, and rumours suggest that their Palermo wedding could take place this June.

Previously, there was speculation as to the place and time of the upcoming marriage ceremony, with newspaper Giornale di Sicilia claiming that the party was set for September, with festivities expected to last three days and including gala dinners, boat rides, as well as an entire floor of suites at five-star hotel Villa Igiea.

Elsewhere, British tabloid The Sun speculated that the guest list could include high-profile names such as Elton John, Olivia Dean and Charli XCX.

The frenzied speculation over Dua Lipa and Callum Turner’s wedding recalls last year’s high-profile Italian wedding between Amazon boss Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez. Their wedding took place in Venice last June – an event which dominated headlines, and not always for the right reasons.

Speculation as to the June wedding continues, and no official confirmation has been made. However, the city of Palermo does make sense for the couple, as they were both spotted there last summer – with Dua Lipa posting a series of photos on Instagram.

Previously, in 2023, Foot Locker Europe released a series of images of Dua Lipa wearing a Palermo football club shirt to promote the “Puma Palermo” trainers.
