Dmitry Makhonin, governor of the Perm region, stated on Thursday, May 7, that drones had attacked “one of the region’s industrial facilities.”

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by The Moscow Times.

According to the governor, one drone managed to reach its target, while others were shot down as they approached.

“There are no casualties or injuries. Emergency services are working at the crash site,” Makhonin wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to eyewitness footage analyzed by ASTRA, the Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez oil refinery in Perm was hit.

A plume of smoke rose above the facility after the strike.

Lukoil-Permnaftorgsintez is one of Russia’s largest refineries, capable of processing about 17 million tons of crude oil per year.

It produces a wide range of products, including high-quality gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, and lubricants.

The plant is a key industrial facility in the Perm region and one of the most technologically advanced in the country. The refinery supplies fuel to both the domestic market and export markets.

It is noted that the facility had previously been attacked by Ukrainian drones on April 30.

As reported by Ukrinform, on Thursday, a drone crashed in a residential area several kilometers from defense industry facilities in the city of Rzhev, Tver region.
