It is being closely watched by the world due to an array of uncertainties and tensions overshadowing the global economy, including the stalemate over the Strait of Hormuz amid the US-Israel war on Iran, which is pushing up energy costs and even threatening global food security.And there is intense international interest in whether the world’s two biggest economies can find ways to stabilise relations despite heightening trade tensions and their tech rivalry, which involves sanctions and a recent countermove by Beijing to ban the execution of the sanctions.
