‘Dhurandhar’ Part One Lands Japanese Release
The first Dhurandhar film will be released in Japan on July 10.
The July release marks the film’s first theatrical run in the Asian country.
Dhurandhar stars Ranveer Singh as Hamza Ali Mazari, whose real identity is Jaskirat Singh Rangi, as he pursues an undercover operation within Pakistan’s criminal underworld. Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R. Madhavan are also among the ensemble cast.
Dhurandhar was India’s highest-grossing film of 2025, with a box-office return of $105.25M (₹9.5B). The film also set a record as the highest-grossing Hindi-language film of all time, surpassing Stree 2, which grossed $77.33M in 2024.
The film was written, directed, and produced by Aditya Dhar, and produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar.

Dhurandhar the Revenge, the second film in the series, was released in March. The film hit No. 4 in its second weekend on 987 screens with a gross of $4.9 million and a cume of $22.9 million. It also broke the record for the highest-grossing Indian movie at the North American box office, held since 2017 by Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.
