Ukraine's Defense Intelligence (HUR) of the Ministry of Defense has released information about companies involved in the production of the Russian 72V6 combat vehicle for the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system.

According to Ukrinform, HUR reported this on its website.

The "Components in Weapons" section of the War&Sanctions portal now features an interactive 3D model of the system and data on 52 enterprises.

Russia uses the Pantsir system to protect small strategically important areas, specific military and industrial facilities, and to reinforce air defense groupings at low and extremely low altitudes against massive air attacks.

Pantsir-S1 systems were also deployed on rooftops in central Moscow back in 2023, including for the protection of the Kremlin.

The main combat element of the system is the combat vehicle equipped with detection, tracking, and engagement systems. A distinctive feature of the complex is the combination of missile and gun armament, allowing it to maintain continuous fire at different ranges and altitudes.

Ten of the enterprises are still not under sanctions by any country in the sanctions coalition.

Among them are:

  • Kazan Electrotechnical Plant, which manufactures and supplies angular acceleration measurement units and backup power supply units;
  • JSC "Technology Commercialization Center," which supplies 1VS1-1K computing system units;
  •  Armavir Electrotechnical Plant, which manufactures electric fans used in the target detection station.

As Ukrinform previously reported, HUR also released information about the Russian "Klin" loitering munition.
