Darrell Sheets, who became widely recognized for his appearances on the A&E reality competition program Storage Wars, has died at the age of 67. The incident occurred at his residence in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
According to Lake Havasu City police, the death resulted from what authorities describe as an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Officers arrived at Sheets' home shortly after 2 a.m. local time on Sunday, responding to a dispatch call. Upon arrival, they located Sheets and pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Following the discovery, the police department's Criminal Investigations Unit was notified and dispatched to take over the case. An official statement from the Lake Havasu City Police Department confirmed that the investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death remains ongoing.
