Daredevil: Born Again season 3 is expected to hit Disney Plus sometime in March 2027, according to Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum.
This might seem like a pretty quick turnaround time, but it's because Marvel is wasting no time when it comes to production. When Daredevil: Born Again season 1 premiered in March 2025, the cameras immediately began rolling on season 2. The same goes for season 3, which is currently filming.
Daredevil: Born Again season 3 cast
Thanks to a leaked set photo (which was extra-confirmed by Mike Colter himself), Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, and Matt Murdock will all be reuniting for a Defenders reunion... which is pretty exciting.
Given that both Bullseye and Mr. Charles get on a plane to god-knows-where in the season 2 finale, we can expect to see them again. When Matt is entering prison, we see him pass by all the arrested AVTF agents... which includes Hamish Allan-Headley's evil Officer Powell. Speaking of Fisk's evil henchmen, Buck does suffer a pretty bad wound, but he appears to be alive (though we don't see him again after the courthouse).
Sign up for the Total Film NewsletterWe can also speculate that Foggy will return for another flashback sequence, as the show seems pretty intent on keeping his memory alive (though nothing is set in stone just yet). We're also not sure about Tony Dalton's Swordsman, as we didn't see much of him in the last half of season 2, or Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle... seeing as he didn't appear in season 2 at all. However, if there's going to be a full Defenders reunion, there's no way the Punisher doesn't end up stopping by....

Daredevil: Born Again season 3 plot
Let's recap, shall we? Daredevil: Born Again season 2 ends with Matt Murdock going to prison after turning himself in by admitting to being Daredevil during Karen's trial. Fisk accepts a deal to leave New York City and disappears upstate. BB Urich gets promoted to staff reporter for The New York Bulletin. Mr. Charles and Bullseye board a plane to... somewhere. Jessica Jones and Luke Cage reunite. Heather Glenn has some trauma-induced hallucinations that see her donning the Muse mask. So, where does that leave us for season 3?
In terms of confirmed plot points, we know that a Defenders reunion is happening (though we don't yet know exactly what brings Iron Fist back to New York City). Showrunner Dario Scardapane also recently told The Direct that we can expect to see some new villains in Daredevil: Born Again season 3, saying, "We've got a few more people heading your way." This tells us that we might be moving away from the main Fisk storyline and heading into some new territory.
In the comics, Daredevil goes to prison during a 1998-2007 run. In Brian Michael Bendis's "Out" story arc, an ally of Fisk's trades Daredevil's identity to the FBI in exchange for Fisk's freedom. This arc continues with Ed Brubaker's "The Devil in Cell Block-D," which sees none other than Iron Fist don the Daredevil suit while Matt is behind bars in order to give him an alibi/prove that Matt isn't Daredevil after all. This could very well be why Iron Fist returns! Though all we have is speculation for now.
As for Heather Glenn, some leaked set photos appear to confirm the appearance of none other than Lady Muse (though these set photos remain unverified for now).
Will there be a Daredevil: Born Again season 4?
Since Marvel had initially ordered 18 episodes of Daredevil: Born Again (prior to the reported overhaul that led to a complete rewrite and reshoot), a second season was always guaranteed. Daredevil: Born Again season 3 was announced in September 2025. However, a fourth season doesn't seem guaranteed at the moment, given that season 2 had a nearly 50% drop in viewership (according to Forbes), despite this season being massively better than the first. It's possible that we won't know about season 4 until we get closer to the release of season 3, or if it depends on how well season 3 ends up doing. Only time will tell.
