Yes, there's more Cyberpunk: Edgerunners on the way, but no, it's not another season of the gorgeous Netflix anime series. Instead, it's a collaboration with the action-RPG Wuthering Waves, focusing on two characters in particular.

A trailer for the partnership gives a quick little bit of context: the Edgerunners have arrived in the futuristic city of Solaris-3, and they're causing a bit of a stir. If you're unfamiliar, Wuthering Waves is essentially a science fiction version of Genshin Impact – it's free-to-play, with gacha mechanics for new characters and the like, and you're encouraged to explore, complete dailies, and all that good stuff.

The latter's playable for free, and it's hinted the former's got a pretty big questline: she's targeting one of the city's moons for some reason. Frankly, I don't think we need any further reasoning, Lucy versus the moons of Solaris-3 is a mission I'll gladly accept.

There's no release date, but we get a release window of June this year. That's only a few weeks away now! This'll be just over two years since Wuthering Waves first launched on PC, and a month ahead of rolling out Xbox Series X/S. If you're going to celebrate, do it Cyberpunk style.

Cyberpunk 2077's best shopkeeper was originally a "vapid" side character devs had no idea what to do with, says actor, until a few redrafts made her "one of my favourite characters I've ever voiced."
