Cooper Hoffman Set To Lead Hulu Drama Pilot ‘Durango’
Cooper Hoffman has been cast as the lead of the new Hulu drama pilot Durango from writer Eliza Clark (FX’s Y: The Last Man), 20th Television, and Media Res.
The pilot follows Hoffman’s character Mikey, a ski bum townie chasing a buzz. Bunny is a homeschooled runaway working as a greasy-spoon waitress. Together they’re riding an avalanche of bad decisions and falling in love while running from cops, criminals, and Mikey’s wife in pursuit of their own American dream.
Further details on the character of Mikey: After an injury ruins his Olympic dreams, Mikey, an easy-going and street-savvy local snowboarding legend, pays his rent the old-fashioned way, by agreeing to a green card marriage. Secretly, he yearns for more, and when he falls for newcomer Bunny, he unwittingly gets pulled into something far more dangerous.

Hoffman will next star in Gregg Araki’s psychosexual thriller, I Want Your Sex, opposite Olivia Wilde. Additionally, he stars in Maude Apatow’s Poetic License, Luca Guadagnino’s feature, Artificial, and A24’s The Chaperones. Hoffman is known for his breakout role in Paul Thomas Anderson’s feature, Licorice Pizza, for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe and Critics Choice Award. He most recently starred in Francis Lawrence’s The Long Walk and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for his performance. He is represented by WME.
