Complete NTE: Neverness to Everness character tier list (April 2026)
NTE: Neverness to Everness is now out on different platforms all over the world, and this character tier list guide will help you build the best team possible. There are plenty of characters available at launch, who are all locked behind pulls. Some can be obtained for free by simply playing the game.
But not all characters are built the same, so let’s figure out how the current meta works.
Table of contents
Best characters to use in NTE: Neverness to Everness
To separate all available characters in NTE: Neverness to Everness, I have used four tiers.
- S-tier represents the best set of characters you can use in the current meta.
- A-tier choices are decent options, but they’re slightly inferior to the names in the upper tier. However, investing in the characters could eventually elevate them to S-tier.
- B-tier choices are average choices that either require a lot of investment and love or have extremely situational uses.
- C-tier choices are fine when you’re just starting the game. Your aim is to replace them as quickly as possible.
S-tier
| Character | Reason |
|---|---|
| Sakiri | She’s the best support character on the current list. She can slow down enemies while buffing her allies with the help of her Ultimate. She’s expected to remain viable for a long time, so she’s an extremely safe character to pull. |
| Chiz | You can obtain her by progressing along the Tycoon game system. It’s highly possible to awaken her fully without relying on the gacha. While Chiz needs a bit of love, she’s an extremely strong DPS unit once she’s built up. She uses her basic attacks to earn Fons, and she also offers one of the strongest Ultimates in the game (in terms of damage). |
| Jiuyuan | Nanally is arguably the strongest DPS of the game, and one of the best characters to reroll for. She has high-volume offensive abilities that let you keep up the tempo with a variety of moves. She’s also a really flexible unit that does well with most characters. Her Ultimate can take out any enemy easily, while the Follow-Up attacks can clear the smaller mobs. |

A-tier
| Character | Reason |
|---|---|
| Baicang | Baicang is one of the most versatile characters in the game, switching roles based on the ability being used. Baicang hits hard to single-target enemies and mobs alike. Good alternative for Nanally if you choose to skip her. |
| Zero | Zero has one of the most unique ways to cast her Esper Cycle thanks to Instant Cycle. No other character allows you to trigger Esper Cycle with a single move. Her kits also offer a bit of healing that can be useful in some situations. Zero is a perfect hybrid character who can perform in multiple roles. |
| Daffodill | Daffodill has the unique ability to buff herself from the support’s abilities. When Insight is operational, she will do a lot of damage on Break. You can swap her frequently to parry incoming attacks (it has a bit of a timing element). |
| Haniel | Great free-to-play alternative for Sakiri. Her Ultimate raises the attack of all her allies. It’s easier to get her duplicates and build her up since she is an A-class character. |
| Adler | One of the most beginner-friendly characters to use. You have to concentrate on creating his shields. Good character to combine with Baicang if you get the latter as your main character. Easy to awaken since he’s an A-class. |
B-tier
| Character | Reason |
|---|---|
| Fadia | Fadia has the ability to absorb damage from other characters on her team. On paper, the ability sounds interesting, but it lacks clear use cases in combat. Hard to awaken her since she’s an S-class character. Can be considered useful if all other allies are essentially glass cannons. |
| Skia | Since Lakshana doesn’t have too many DPS options, she can be a good free-to-play choice. His base attack damage is pretty limited. Your objective is to take advantage of the follow-up attacks paired with the Ultimate. |
C-tier
- Mint: Very mediocre DPS who got replaced as soon as I found an alternate damage dealer.
- Edgar: Good beginner choice for a starting healer, but doesn’t offer much in the long run.
