Casualty toll after attack on kindergarten in Sumy rises to two, seven others injured

The Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"A body of another deceased employee of the preschool was recovered from under the rubble. The woman was 45 years old," the statement said.

The head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, said on Telegram that

around 10 Russian UAVs were detected during the morning attack. Some were shot down by Ukrainian Defense Forces, but two drones hit the kindergarten building.

Two women who worked at the facility were killed — aged 48 and 45.

Seven more people were injured and received medical assistance.

A 52-year-old woman with more serious injuries remains hospitalized.

As Ukrinform previously reported, one woman was initially reported killed and two people injured after the strike by two Russian drones on the kindergarten building in Sumy.
