Car bombing in Dnipro: Terrorist suspects detained, one caught attempting to flee abroad
The SBU said this in a statement, according to Ukrnform.
The security service recalled that at around 07:30 on May 7, a parked vehicle belonging to a serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces exploded in the Sobornyi district of the frontline city.
Within hours of the explosion, SBU officers identified and detained the perpetrators. One of the suspects was intercepted while attempting to cross the border and evade justice abroad.
The investigation found that, acting on orders from Russia, the suspects planted an improvised explosive device under the vehicle of the Ukrainian serviceman and installed a phone camera nearby to record the attack.
The bomb was later detonated remotely via a call made to the mobile phone attached to the explosive device.

According to case materials, both suspects are residents of the Samar district of the Dnipropetrovsk region who had been searching for quick money through Telegram channels.
They agreed to blow up the serviceman's vehicle in exchange for payment from Russia.
During searches, law enforcement officers seized mobile phones, SIM cards, and clothing used in preparing and carrying out the attack.
SBU investigators have notified the suspects that they are under suspicion under Part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist attack).
The suspects are currently being held in custody and face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
