Everyone could really do with a Free Hit on the final day of the FPL season.

Arsenal and Manchester City now have nothing to play for and chances are your teams are packed full of their players.

Throw in Aston Villa, Manchester United - except Bruno Fernandes - and a host of other teams who will be looking to the end of the season.

Therefore it makes sense to play your FPL assets from teams still chasing Europe or take a punt on someone involved in the Tottenham-West Ham relegation tussle.

The team of the week is selected based on current FPL prices to fit within a £100m budget, as if you were playing a Free Hit.

How did last week's team do?

When your captain starts on the bench, you know it is going to be a bad week - 39 points.

Is the Sutton treble on?

Max Weiss, Burnley, £4.2m - Wolves (h)

Looking at all the games on the final day, it might be Burnley who have the best chance of a clean sheet.

Wolves have still only scored seven away goals this season in 18 matches.

Weiss seems to be Burnley's new number one and, if you're worried about David Raya being rested, he could be a decent one-week replacement.

Adrien Truffert, Bournemouth, £4.7m - Nottingham Forest (a)

Since week 29, no other defender has more FPL points than Truffert's 60.

He's offered a huge attacking threat - one goal and three assists in that time - while also gathering bonus and the odd defensive contribution points.

Bournemouth have something to play for while Forest players will have one eye on the beach.

Virgil van Dijk, Liverpool, £6m - Brentford (h)

I'm not sure Liverpool keep a clean sheet against Brentford but the final day is rarely a spot for many of those anyway.

So pick a man who has scored more goals (six) and had more big chances (12) than any other defender in the league and hope for an attacking return.

Antonee Robinson, Fulham, £4.9m - Newcastle (h)

If Harry Wilson doesn't start for Fulham again, Robinson is going to be on penalties.

Newcastle are the joint second-lowest scorers away from home this season and have nothing to play for either.

Robinson could return at both ends of the pitch.

Midfield

Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United, £10.4m - Nottingham Forest (h)

Chasing the outright Premier League assists record, Fernandes is not a player worth dropping for the final day.

He's guaranteed to start, while so many other big-money assets could be rested.

Crysencio Summerville, West Ham, £5.4m - Leeds (h)

The Dutchman hasn't scored in six games but he has explosive potential, as shown by his run of four goals in four games earlier in the season.

He's the ideal final-day punt if you have a midfield spot, with the Hammers chasing a win to give them a chance of staying up.

Cole Palmer, Chelsea, £10.3m - Sunderland (a)

Another player who has done little for weeks but if you are talking about final-day gambles who are capable of getting you 20 points, Palmer tops the bill.

Remember his hat-trick earlier in the season at Wolves?

Chelsea are also chasing Europe, which means they will play at full pelt.

And, if you like your underlying stats, over the past six gameweeks - Palmer only played in five - his xG is 1.75, which is nearly a goal better than any other Chelsea player.

Even taking off the 0.75 for a missed penalty, he still tops the charts and has had 16 shots too, four more than any Chelsea player.

He is due and will be playing with fire after his England snub.

Dominik Szoboszlai, Liverpool, £7.1m - Brentford (h)

This game could end up being a high-scoring one.

Brentford need a win to secure a European spot, Liverpool are looking over their shoulders and need a result to completely guarantee a Champions League spot.

Szoboszlai has been Liverpool's best midfielder this season and has five returns in his past five games.

Strikers

Richarlison, Tottenham, £6.4m - Everton (h)

Everton have the sixth-best away record in the league and Spurs need to avoid defeat to stay up, so you'd guess the home side are going to need to score at least once to achieve their goal.

Richarlison is by far and away their most threatening player.

He only has one goal in his past three starts but in that time he has had nine shots on target - more than double any other Spurs player - five big chances and an xG of 1.99.

Junior Kroupi, Bournemouth, £4.6m - Nottingham Forest (a)

Five goals in seven games including the one that handed Arsenal the title.

With Bournemouth chasing the outside chance of fifth place, they will be on the front foot - it would not be a surprise if they score two or three.

Kroupi is also on penalties.

Jarrod Bowen (captain), West Ham, £7.7m - Leeds (h)

This could be Bowen's last game for the Hammers and he might go out with a bang in a game they have to win to have any chance of staying up.

He hasn't scored since week 24, but has two double-digit hauls in that time because of all the assists he provides.

Subs bench

Martin Dubravka, Burnley, keeper, £4m - Wolves (h)

Rio Ngumoha, Liverpool, midfielder, £4.3m - Brentford (h)

James Hill, Bournemouth, defender, £4.2m - Nottingham Forest (a)

Konstantinos Mavropanos, West Ham, defender, £4.5m - Leeds (h)

Team total cost: £88.7m
