Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core is now available on PC, and we can change the graphics settings to get the best results. Preventing lags and stutters will help you get better results from your runs, although you’re bound to die a lot.

Best graphics settings for Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core

While Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core is out on early access, it’s running very smoothly. However, I made a few tweaks to erase the minute stutters I encountered in my opening runs.

Here are the details of my current setup I am using to play the game.

• AMD Ryzen 5600G
• NVIDIA RTX 3060 12 GB
• 16 GB of DDR5 RAM

Here are my current graphics settings I am using for my runs.

• Resolution: 1920×1080 (Go with the native resolution of your monitor)
• Max FPS: 60 (if you’re experiencing lag)/90
• VSYNC: On (I usually turn this off, but having it turned on has reduced the stutters when there are more enemies around you).
• Use DX12: Yes if it’s applicable
• HDR Output: Personal Preference
• NVIDIA Reflex: Enabled + Boost
• Upscaling: Off (Turn this on if you’re getting a lot of lag. Set it to Performance or something similar as applicable for your card)
• Anto-Aliasing: FXAA
• Overall Quality: Custom
• Reflection Quality: Medium
• Texture Resolution: Medium
• Shadow Quality: Medium
• Anti-Aliasing Quality: High
• Post Processing: Medium
• Effects: Turn it Low if you’re getting low frames
• View Distance: High

There are some changes you can make if you’re still encountering frame drops. First, reduce all the quality sliders by one (if it’s Medium, set it to Low) and so on. Additionally, you can always use DLSS/FSR to generate more frames. While it will dilute the visual quality, having more frames is going to be beneficial in this game.

I also expect the game to get more optimized as we move along the early access period, and there are new updates.
