Baldur's Gate 3 does a great job of recreating the Dungeons and Dragons experience. Unlike the first two games, you often make dice rolls yourself, trying to get past skill checks of varying difficulty. You do this with a set of virtual dice that you can add various modifiers to depending on your stats, choices, and abilities, just as you would in a tabletop game.
