Bahrain strips more than 60 people of their citizenship over activities linked to Iran
Bahrain has stripped 69 people of their citizenship after they were convicted of communicating with foreign organizations and glorifying Iranian attacks during the recent conflict.

According to Ukrinform, Gulf News reported this.

The decision to revoke citizenship was made following the arrest of dozens of people accused of posting material on social media that incited instability and posed a threat to public order in Bahrain.

According to officials, these measures were taken in response to actions deemed harmful to national security, particularly during the 39-day war between the U.S. and Israel against Iran, during which missile and drone attacks occurred throughout the Persian Gulf region.

Bahraini authorities have tightened control over online activity and warned against the dissemination or promotion of materials that could undermine stability.

This move is part of Bahrain’s broader efforts to counter external threats and eliminate security risks, including potential ties to groups and networks supported by foreign states, the report states.

As reported by Ukrinform, on March 9, 32 people, including children, were injured in Bahrain as a result of an Iranian drone attack.
