ARC Raiders’ biggest update yet lands tomorrow. Here’s what’s coming in Riven Tides

ARC Raiders is aiming to come back in a big way tomorrow with its new Riven Tides update, the game's biggest content drop since launch last October.

It's all tied to the new Riven Tides map, which is the western coast of the Rust Belt in a new area not yet explored by Raiders who have been addicted to looting and shooting while Topside. Points of interest like a resort and a dockyard hold new treasures and different battles, like with an all-new ARC enemy.

ARC Raiders Riven Tides patch notes

New map

ARC Raiders' first new map since November, Riven Tides, is the main addition of the update. This tropical locale is full of new areas to explore and secrets to find.

"On the western coast of the Rust Belt lies a stretch of deserted shoreline," said Embark Studios. "This location has been abandoned twice: once during the Exodus, and once again by survivors of the First Wave, who failed to hold down the exposed settlement against ARC. From the fading resort to the towering dockyard, stake your claim and discover what treasures lie within. "

New ARC enemy

The newest ARC enemy type, the ARC Turbine, can be found floating in the skybox of Riven Tides.

"Calm, docile, quiet," Embark explained. "That is until you get up close. Nobody knows quite what it’s doing, but if you try to interfere, you best be ready for a totally unique fight. Its defensive abilities are brutal, posing a new challenge to Raiders and demanding skill, patience, and nerves in equal measure. "

New map condition

Beachcombing is the newest minor map condition coming to Riven Tides. Players can find the Dockmaster's Detector item on the map and can "sweep it across the sand to uncover buried loot hidden beneath the surface."

New items

If you're a player who can't handle heights and often find yourself taking damage or even being downed by falling, then you will want to pick up or craft the new Crash Mat and Powered Descender items to help you get down from the highest of highs.

New event

Players can unlock three pages of rewards, including the Junior Outfit, Hydrologist backpack, Hose attachment, Brass Faucet charm, new emotes, and 250 Raider Tokens in total during the Last Resort event, which runs through May 25.

New Raider Project

The Avian Alarm project requires players to deploy cages at buoys along Riven Tides' coastline to catch birds for this project. Unlockable rewards include the Dockmaster's Detector, Gel Patches, the Bird House backpack attachment, the Fist In Air emote, and 250 Raider Tokens.
