Apple rolls out macOS 26.6 public beta 1
Following this week’s release of macOS 26.6 beta 1 for developers, Apple is now rolling out the first public beta build of the next version of macOS. Here’s what to expect.
macOS 26.6 public beta 1 now available
As widely expected, this week’s developer beta 1 for macOS 26.6 didn’t include flashy user-facing features.
In fact, there don’t seem to be any new features, with Apple’s release notes only mentioning a fix for an issue that could cause macOS deprecation notifications to incorrectly identify some apps as Intel-only.
The macOS 26.6 beta cycle is expected to continue for the next few weeks, with the official release likely to come out after WWDC and the introduction of macOS 27.
The release build for macOS 26.6 public beta 1 is 25G5028f, which is the same as yesterday’s developer release.
