Apple releases tvOS 26.5, HomePod 26.5, and visionOS 26.5
Apple’s newest software updates have just been released, including tvOS 26.5, HomePod 26.5, and visionOS 26.5. Here’s what to expect.
tvOS 26.5, visionOS 26.5, and HomePod 26.5 now available
New software updates are rolling out now for Apple’s full lineup of platforms.
These include tvOS 26.5 for Apple TV 4K, visionOS 26.5 for Vision Pro, and HomePod 26.5 for HomePod and HomePod mini.
Apple’s official release notes for these updates only say that they include “performance and stability improvements.”
In other words, the 26.5 cycle is light on user-facing changes.
tvOS 26.5, visionOS 26.5, and HomePod 26.5 have been available in beta for over a month, and users have yet to discover any noteworthy new features or changes.
For new features, Apple has shifted focus to tvOS 27, visionOS 27, and HomePod 27. Those updates will be unveiled at WWDC next month.
As for today’s 26.5 releases, Apple’s more popular platforms are getting some notable improvements. iOS 26.5, for example, adds a handful of new iPhone features, some of which are available in iPadOS 26.5 too.
Apple still recommends updating to the latest software across all your devices for the latest security, compatibility, and bug fix improvements.
