Apple releases public beta for iPadOS 26.6, tvOS 26.6, and watchOS 26.6

Earlier this week Apple launched the first betas for its forthcoming 26.6 updates, and now the company has released public beta versions too, including iPadOS 26.6, tvOS 26.6, and more.

Public beta arrives for iPadOS 26.6 and more

We’re less than two weeks away from Apple unveiling its major new software versions, headlined by iOS 27 and the newly overhauled Siri.

But the company is still developing updates for its current OS releases too. And this week, we’ve gotten the first betas for the 26.6 software wave.

iPadOS 26.6, tvOS 26.6, watchOS 26.6, HomePod 26.6, and more are now available in public beta. These releases follow the developer beta versions that shipped Tuesday.

After a couple days of testing, the 26.6 updates appear very light on changes.

In fact, the only new item that’s been discovered so far is an alert when you try blocking a contact after hitting the maximum limit.

There will likely be further changes before the public launch. But for users awaiting major new features, the forthcoming OS 27 lineup is where those are coming.

Apple will reveal iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, and more on Monday, June 8 during its WWDC keynote. Developer beta versions are expected to be released that same day, with public beta debuts in July.
