Apple releases beta 3 for iPadOS 26.5, watchOS 26.5, and more
Another round of betas has just arrived. Apple has released developer beta 3 for iPadOS 26.5, watchOS 26.5, tvOS 26.5, and more.
Beta 3 available for iPadOS 26.5, tvOS 26.5, visionOS 26.5, and more
If you’re running developer betas on your Apple devices, there are new updates available now.
Apple has released beta 3 for its full roster of platforms, including:
- iOS 26.5
- iPadOS 26.5
- macOS Tahoe 26.5
- watchOS 26.5
- tvOS 26.5
- visionOS 26.5
- HomePod 26.5
This lineup of software updates is expected to launch to all users in just a few weeks.
It’s likely to be the last noteworthy family of updates before Apple unveils iOS 27 and its companion releases. Those reveals will happen on June 8 at the WWDC 2026 kickoff.
It’s not unusual for Apple’s x.5 software updates to be a little light on new features, since they arrive shortly before the major new OS versions.
So far in Apple’s 26.5 lineup, the biggest changes involve Apple Maps, which has a new ‘Suggested Places’ feature, and also the Messages app, which supports end-to-end encrypted RCS messaging.
If we find anything new in today’s beta 3 releases, we’ll keep you posted.
