Anime Apocalypse Tier List – Best Ability, Gadget & More
Think of this article as the Anime Apocalypse HUB for the best Abilities, Gadgets, Traits, Gear and basically everything in the game. I'll help you create the best build by ranking each category so that you can choose the best from each. Here's my Anime Apocalypse tier list and guide.

Anime Apocalypse Ability Tier List
The best Ability in Anime Apocalypse depends both on the game mode you're going for and the Mastery level. Some are stronger early and some later in the end-game. I will be ranking Abilities based on their Mastery 100 versions but I will mention if they're weak or strong at Mastery 0 as well. I'll also highlight which Abilities are good for which game mode below. You can expect the S-Tiers to be good at all game modes, with A-Tier being great alternatives and B-Tier being good for beginners.
Mastery Tips: Killing zombies with an Ability levels up its Mastery and this gives you:
- Mastery 25: Walking speed boost
- Mastery 50: Damage boost
- Mastery 75: Massive damage boost
- Mastery 100: Unlocks V skill
Mastery is saved for each individual weapon when you switch it out.
Best Upgrades: Upgrading cooldown is usually the best but 2-3 upgrades in damage are also good (I wouldn't upgrade walking speed). Note that resetting upgrades does not give you back your money.
S-Tier Ability
| S-Tier | Ranking Reasons |

 Coyote Mythic | • The best Raid and Survival end-game ability in the game • Starts out weaker than Saiyan and Pride but becomes stronger at Mastery 100 with V • I prefer Saiyan, Pride and Shadow Monarch for Infinity though since they're better in longer modes • Coyote with V is still arguably the strongest Ability |
 Saiyan Supreme | • One of the best abilities at all Mastery levels and at all modes • I would say it's the 2nd best ability in the game with no weaknesses • It's better than Coyote and Pride at Mastery 0 with just the base moves but Coyote/Pride V is better at M100 |
 Pride Mythic | • Competes incredibly well with Coyote and Saiyan as the Top 2/3 ability overall • Pride unlike Coyote is not top 1 in any mode but it's great in all modes with no weaknesses • It's also strong at both 0 and 100 Mastery so you can use it whenever |
A-Tier Ability
| A-Tier | Ranking Reasons |

 Shadow Monarch Mythic | • Incredibly strong in Infinite due to shadows and probably the top 1 Infinite Ability currently • That said it relies a lot on high Mastery so it's much stronger later at 100 • Early on it gets out-DPS-ed by other Mythics and Exclusives • So overall if you like playing SM, it's great, but be prepared to grind it since it's not as strong in base form |
 Destructive Fists Raid Shop / Store | • More consistent damage than Shadow Monarch and quite good at all game modes • It's better than SM at low Mastery and a bit weaker at high Mastery, especially on Infinite • But it's more reliable for Raid and Survival • That said it's weaker damage and range than Coyote, Pride and Saiyan |
B-Tier Ability

 Sosuke Legendary | • The best beginner Ability since the Susano slash will carry you with its massive damage burst and range • It's also really strong at base Mastery 0 being even better than Coyote, Destructive Fists and Shadow Monarch • That said the Mythics and Exclusives scale much better into the end-game and end up stronger for all modes • Still, you should use Sosuke as much as possible early to grind |
 Fire Fighter Exclusive - BattlePass | • The middleground DPS option that's decent for most modes but not the best • Overall all the Abilities above outdamage it but it is better than King of Curses • It's also a bit better than Shadow Monarch at Mastery 0 since SM takes a while to get going |
C-Tier Ability

 King of Curses Legendary | • The weakest Legendary and a mid option overall • It's better than the Epics and Rares but that's about it • I would just level Sosuke unless you just really like roleplaying as Sukuna |
D-Tier Ability

 Nen Prodigy Epic  Zorro Rare | • Your beginner options • They get powercrept fast by all the above abilities • This is not one of those games where the Rares and Epics are really good • It's just a numbers game and Nen and Zorro easily get out-DPS-ed |
Anime Apocalypse Gadget Tier List
All Gadgets can be good in different game modes but there are some that are straight up the best. These are the ones in S-Tier with A-Tier being situational alternatives. B-Tier are the weakest options for all game modes. I will highlight which gadget is good for which mode below.
S-Tier Gadget
| S-Tier | Ranking Reasons |
|---|---|
 Infinity Legendary | • Basically free invulnerability to all damage for 15 seconds • It's incredibly strong for Survival and dodging attacks in Raid • It's also pretty good in Infinite for ocassional immunity but it's not as impactful there • That said this is the best gadget in the game in most cases |
 Rage Epic | • Actually a really strong gadget since it's basically a free damage boost • It's best for Raids and Infinite for bursting down bosses when you want to do a full move rotation with Ult • This turns it into a damage multiplier • Overall go for Infinite if you want more defense and Rage if you want more offense • Both are the best gadget in the game depending on your needs |
 Black Hole Mythic | • A mix of utility, crowd control and damage • The third-best gadget in the game overall • The AOE is great for setting up bursts for Survival and Infinite • It's weak in Raids though |
A-Tier Gadget
| A-Tier | Ranking Reasons |

 Time Stop Mythic | • OP in Raids but not as OP as it sounds in other modes • In other modes it's just a useful tool to have but you'd do better with a damage increase like Rage • And if you really want defense then Infinite is just plain better • Still useful though |
 Conqueror's Haki Legendary | • Great for Survival and Infinite for weaker mobs but overall not as powerful as S-Tier options • I'd say it's on average weaker than Time Stop too but it's much stronger than Time Stop in Survival |
B-Tier Gadget
| B-Tier | Ranking Reasons |

 Medkit Rare | • A decent option to have if you make a mistake while dodging and get bursted down • That said as you get used to the attack patterns you won't ever need it with all the heal drops |
 Beacon Taunt Epic | • Can be quite good for Survival, especially solo • But otherwise it's pretty weak in other modes • It's not useless, just much weaker than other gadgets for Raids and Infinite |

How to Get Trait Rerolls: You can farm them from Infinite and Survival game modes and the best way is on the highest difficulty (Plus you can get them from Codes - link below)
Trait Note: Note that if you switch out an Ability with a trait on it, the trait will be deleted.
