A24 Wraps First Production In India With Dev Patel’s Action-Thriller ‘The Peasant’; Christian Friedel & Saurabh Sachdeva Among Supporting Cast
EXCLUSIVE: A24 has wrapped Dev Patel revenge-action thriller The Peasant, which becomes the studio’s first production to shoot in India.
Joining Oscar nominee Patel in the cast are Christian Friedel (The Zone of Interest), Sebastian Bull (Sons), Saurabh Sachdeva (Animal), Anasuya Sengupta (The Shameless) and Vipin Sharma (Monkey Man).
Directed by Patel and written by Patel and Will Dunn (Ms. Marvel), the film “follows a 14th-century shepherd seeking revenge against mercenaries who ravaged his community. As he hunts them down, his true nature emerges.”
